Therapy Services

Jody Kamon, PhD

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have provided clinical services to children, teens, families and adults on both mental health and substance use issues. I have primarily worked in outpatient settings.

First, I believe in peoples' own Agency and the first step of agency within the therapeutic relationship is determining if we are a good fit - if my approach and expertise are a good match for what you are seeking. In addition, three words I center at the core of my clinical approach are Awareness, Intention, and Growth. AWARENESS can be summarized by increasing your understanding of yourself, your choices, thoughts, and feelings. With increased awareness, you begin to identify how you want to move through the world with INTENTION in a way that helps to promote and sustain your own GROWTH and ultimately, healing. It is my belief that this work must occur within an environment which embodies trust, acceptance, compassion, and empowerment.

I work with clients who may be experiencing a number of concerns and am particularly interested in substance use, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My primary therapeutic approaches include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. Please email me at Jody@c4bhi.com or call me at 802-999-1676.
